A family representative confirmed that Astro Monte Thornton died earlier this week. The family has asked for privacy as they deal with the loss.

Raz-B and Mona welcomed Astro, their second son, in May. No cause of death has been disclosed.

During a recent radio interview, Quavo said the pair plans to record a final project under the Migos name and follow it with a tour. The album would be their first Migos project since the death of group member TakeOff in 2022.

The event, formerly known as the Grammy Certificate Ceremony, will recognise musicians and other contributors associated with Grammy-winning and Grammy-nominated projects.

Organisers say the name was changed as the programme expands beyond its original Grammy-focused recognition. This will be the sixth staging of the ceremony in Jamaica.

The fourth annual awards will be held on September 19 at the National Academy for the Performing Arts in Port of Spain, Trinidad and Tobago. 450 is also nominated for Album of the Year.

Other performers include Grenada's V'ghn, Freetown Collective, Jah Mason, 1T1 and Theomaa, representing a mix of soca, reggae, dancehall and other Caribbean sounds.

This will be the first time the Caribbean Music Awards are staged in the region, following three years in New York City.
