American rapper Lil Jon is campaigning for his late son, Nathan “Young Slade” Smith, to receive a posthumous Grammy nomination.
In a social media appeal, Lil Jon urged Recording Academy voters to recognise his son's engineering work on his meditation albums, including Remix Meditation.
The 27-year-old DJ and music producer died in February following a drowning incident in Georgia.
Lil Jon says he hopes the Grammy recognition will help preserve his son's musical legacy.
