Miley Cyrus paid an emotional tribute to her late godmother, Dolly Parton, during a concert at the Hollywood Bowl on Friday, October 16.
Cyrus recalled a special memory of Parton performing at the venue before launching into her iconic hit, “Jolene,” while reflecting on their enduring bond.
The singer also performed “Wrecking Ball,” which she said was Parton’s favourite song from her catalogue, while holding a photograph of the late country music legend.
Parton died on August 25 at age 80, with Cyrus describing their connection as eternal and saying she looks forward to seeing her godmother again.
