Macklemore says he will donate one million dollars to organisations supporting Palestinians following his removal from Ed Sheeran’s Loop Tour.

The rapper says the money represents his entire net earnings from the tour and will be divided among six organisations providing direct support to Palestinians.

In a statement on Instagram, Macklemore said he wants attention focused on the humanitarian situation facing Palestinians rather than the controversy surrounding his removal from the tour.

He also called on businessman Robert Kraft to match the one-million-dollar donation.
