Singer Faith Evans has lost a $12.5 million court fight over funds owed to the trust of the late Voletta Wallace, mother of rapper The Notorious B.I.G.
A Delaware judge ruled on October 27 that the trust is entitled to $12.5 million in distributions from the company holding rights to the late rapper’s intellectual property, plus interest.
The court rejected Evans’ attempt to limit the payment while a separate family dispute continues in Pennsylvania.
The ruling gives the trust a right to distributions dating back to Wallace’s death in February 2025, with interest calculated from the dates the payments were originally made.
