The family of American music mogul Sean “Diddy” Combs has denied reports that he was involved in a prison fight with convicted Jamaican drug lord Christopher “Dudus” Coke.

The denial follows reports that Combs was hospitalised with a head injury while incarcerated at Fort Dix prison in New Jersey.

According to radio personality Loren LoRosa, the family described the fight allegations as completely false, noting that the two men are housed in separate areas of the facility.

The exact circumstances surrounding Combs' reported injury remain unclear.
